Makassar, July 24, 2024 - Bank Mandiri continues to actively support government programs in developing the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector through various digital initiatives. As part of its efforts to become an Urban Locomotive in supporting the growth of people's economy in urban areas, Bank Mandiri is also supporting the Makassar Festival 8 2024, which will be held from July 24 to 28, 2024.
Chief Executive Officer (RCEO) of Bank Mandiri Region X/Sulawesi and Maluku, Atta Alva Wanggai, stated that Bank Mandiri is bringing its fostered MSMEs, which have received guidance and support through the digital entrepreneur application (Livin’ Merchant), to participate in this festival. This initiative is part of Bank Mandiri's commitment to promoting cashless transactions and increasing financial inclusion throughout Indonesia.
"By featuring our fostered MSMEs at the Makassar Festival 8, Bank Mandiri is not only promoting local products but also facilitating the use of digital technology through cashless payment solutions such as the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS). This step aims to simplify transactions for festival visitors while supporting MSMEs to upgrade through digitalization," said Atta on Wednesday (24/7).
Atta stated that by focusing on MSMEs, Bank Mandiri also supports the Makassar Festival 8, especially in Zone 5 by Livin’ Pasar. By leveraging the highly attractive festival platform, Bank Mandiri hopes to create a significant positive impact on MSMEs and raise public awareness about the ease of cashless transactions.
As of the end of June 2024, Bank Mandiri Region X/Sulawesi and Maluku successfully recorded the acquisition of new customers via Livin’ by Mandiri, totaling 1.739 million accounts, growing 46% year on year (yoy) from the same period last year. Meanwhile, transaction value through Livin’ by Mandiri in Region X/Sulawesi and Maluku grew 56% yoy to IDR 117.1 trillion in the first half of 2024.
To enliven the Makassar Festival 8, Bank Mandiri is also providing various attractive programs and incentives such as the Spin Wheel program by scanning QRIS IDR 1 to get special prizes, a staple food package prize program for visitors who activate Livin’ by Mandiri, and a cashback promo of IDR 10,000 for visitors who top up Gopay a minimum of IDR 10,000 at the Mandiri Agent booth.
